The Cycla range of concretes are earth concretes from the circular economy. These concretes are produced from construction site spoil, dredging sediments, quarry fines or excavation soil. They feed the virtuous cycle of the new face of the building and public works industry, which is less resource-intensive and provides low-carbon footprint solutions. By transforming waste into material, the city becomes its own quarry. Cycla concrete is a territorial opportunity that creates material, social and urban value. This circular dynamic is made possible by the Crosskinked Clay Cement technology, the know-how developed by Materrup and its partners at different levels of the value chain.
Cycla concretes are produced from excavated earth, which is construction site waste. This soil undergoes an industrial screening and sorting process to obtain secondary materials. The latter is then used on site in Cycla soil concrete. This recycling cycle reduces the consumption of raw materials and thus contributes to the preservation of mineral resources such as sand. They limit the exploitation of quarries and thus protect ecosystems.
Produced on site, Cycla concretes are carbon avoidance concretes. They generate fewer flows due to the optimization of the logistics of the entire production process: from the transportation of materials to their implementation. They incorporate Crosslinked Clay Cement® technology with a very low carbon footprint.
Construction site waste is collected on dedicated platforms in coordination with the EPCIs and our industrial partners. This new mineral waste sector is virtuous because it leads to the creation of materials with high added value in mechanical and environmental terms. Produced locally from local secondary materials, Cycla concretes reinforce the relocation of the concrete industry and result in the creation of industrial and local jobs.
